Lowell Ledger, 25 Jul 1946

Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) in the Lowell Methodist church,
at 2 p.m. for Mrs. Grace Sneathen, age 69, who passed away last Saturday at the
home of Mrs. E. L. Kinyon in Lowell.  The officiating clergymen were the Rev. C.
E. Pollock and the Rev. Demarest.  Gracie Groom was born to Mr. and Mrs. John
Groom near Lyons, Mich., June 26, 1877.  When she was about 20 she came to South
Boston, where she married Mark Sneathen in December, 1899.  To this union were
born three sons, Wilbur of Hollis, N.Y., Harold of Beulah, Mich., and Albert of
Port Huron, Mich.  Mr. Sneathen preceded her in death by 3 years.  Mrs. Sneathen
was a devout church member all her life and took part in many church doings. 
Surviving besides the sons are five sisters, three grandchildren and numerous
nieces and nephews.  Burial in the South Boston cemetery.
