Snell, 90, 209 Lovell street, died Sunday morning at Ionia manor following a lengthy illness. She was born in Keene township August 4, 1887, the daughter of William and Jane Prout Hoskin. She married Walter Snell at Easton Methodist church October 20, 1908 and they lived most of their married life at 606 West Lincoln. Following Mr. Snell’s death in March, 1947, Mrs. Snell lived with her son and daughter-in-law on Lovell street. She was a member of First United Methodist church, the Stewart circle, Mrs. Morrall’s Sunday School class and a member and pianist in the old kitchen band. Her son Richard, preceded her in death in 1963. Survivors include her daughter- in-law, Mrs. Signora Snell of Ionia and two grandsons. Services are Wednesday at 1 p.m. from the Leddick funeral home with Rev. Carl Hausermann of First United Methodist church officiating. Burial is in Saranac cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home Monday and Tuesday, 7 to 9 p.m. A living memorial is established for the youth of the United Methodist church.
