The Ionia Sentinel, Friday, December 26, 1947
Word has been received in Ionia of the death of a former resident, Mrs. 
Clifford Snell, 55, who died Christmas morning at the Petoskey hospital after 
a short illness.

She was born August 25, 1892, at Joliet, Ill.  She was married to Clifford 
Snell of Ionia June 1, 1910, and lived here for many years.  At different 
times they operated the Regent, Majestic and the Family theaters in Ionia.

They moved to Petoskey several years ago.

Survivors are her husband, Clifford, a daughter, Mrs. Richard Lapeer, of 
Petoskey; one grandchild, and a sister, Mrs. James Macklin, of Ionia.

Funeral services will be held in Petoskey at 10 a.m. Saturday.  The body will 
then be brought to Ionia for graveside services at 4:00 o’clock, and burial in 
the family lot at Highland Park cemetery.
