The Ionia Sentinel, Tuesday, December 26, 1967
Funeral services for Eugene Q. Snell, 86, will be Thursday at 3:30 pm at Stone-
Kauffman funeral home with Rev. Lester Bailey officiating.  Interment will be 
in Easton cemetery.

Mr. Snell died Monday morning at Ionia County Memorial hospital where he had 
been a patient the past week.  He lived at 456 Rice.

Born June 7, 1881 in Easton township he was the son of George and Ann Snell.  
February 18, 1904 he was married in Easton township to Elta C. Gould.  He was 
a retired farmer, farming in Easton township until moving to their present 
address in Ionia in 1941.  He was a member of First Methodist church.

Surviving are his wife Elta, two daughters, Mrs. Ward Williams of route two, 
Belding; Mrs. Richard Dingman of Durand; two sone, Leonard of River Rouge, and 
Latham of Ionia; eight grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; one sister, Cora 
Snell of Washington, D. C.
