LAKE ODESSA- Richard Lee Snell, 41, of Virginia Beach, Va., died Thursday in the 
Portsmouth Naval Hospital, Portsmouth, Va. He was a former Woodland resident. 

He was born April 21, 1943, in Indianapolis, the son of Richard and Leora 
McKinley Snell. He attended schools in Indiana and Michigan and graduated from 
Michigan State University in 1973.

He was married to Roxanne Everett on Oct. 31, 1964, in Woodland.

He was employed at Oldsmobile and served in the U.S. Air Force and also in the 
U.S. Navy from which he retired recently. He had also been employed by an auto 
dealer in Virginia Beach. 

Surviving are his wife, Roxanne; two daughters, Jennifer, of Harrisonburg, Va., 
and Jessica, at home; his father, Richard, of Indianapolis; his mother, Leora 
Engle of Sullivan, Ind.; his sister, Nancy Lawrence of Dunkirk, Ind.; and his 
mother-in-law, Mary Ann Everett of Lansing.

Funeral services will be announced later by Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel, Lake 
Odessa.
