Burial is deferred to Friday morning, pending the arrival of relatives from Dakotas and other distant points. Deceased was Margaret Hackett by birth, a member of the well-known and greatly esteemed pioneer families of that name. Mrs. Snyder was close to her 76th birthday, having been almost 75 years in Ionia. She was three weeks old when the family left Ireland, and they spent a few weeks in Buffalo and a few months in Detroit before coming here. Her father was Patrick Hackett. She was married to Mr. Snyder 33 years ago, and had been a widow eight years. She had no children, and the only close relative who survives is Barney Hackett, a brother. There are many nieces and nephews, however, both here and outside the city. They are: Mrs. Millard Mitchell, C.P. Harwood, Mrs. O.W. Price of this city, Mrs. Annie Eddy, Will Harwood and Mrs. Warren Brickley of Berlin, Mrs. Aggie Cook of Allegan, Edward Harwood of Portland and Mrs. Jennie Reed of Lake Odessa. The funeral service will be attended from the Catholic church of SS. Peter & Paul, on Friday morning at 9:00 o’clock, with interment in Mount Olivet.
