Snyder, who for many years was a resident of Sebewa Corners, died Wednesday, July 20, at the home of his son Henry in Sebewa. He lived at Mulliken but since the death of his wife last November he has made his home with his daughter Mrs. Leon Moyer of Portland. Dr. Snyder was born in Herkimer county, New York in August 1845 and located on a farm near Hastings when a young man. He decided to study medicine and attended a Chicago college. He located at Sebewa Corners forty-nine years ago and had an extensive practice there. He moved to Mulliken twenty-five years ago where he continued practicing until the death of his wife. He was county treasurer for two terms and influential in republican county and township politics. He was a member of the G.A.R. and the Mason and Odd Fellow lodges. Dr. Snyder was a brother of Dr. Charles N. Snyder who practiced here years ago. Dr. Ed Snyder of Houghton was a nephew. Dr. Ed Snyder came here as practicing physician after the death of his uncle Charles.
