Ionia Sentinal Standard - 21 Sept 1992
Charles Henry Snyder, 88, of Marengo died Sept. 18 at Oaklawn Hospital after a 
short illness.  He was a former Ionia resident.  Born May 4, 1904, in 
Darlington, Wisc., he was the son of Henry and Millie Bottomley Snyder.  He 
moved to Lee Township in 1938 from Ionia and to Marengo in 1966.  He was 
married Jan. 30, 1926, to the former Marian Elizabeth Hale; she survives.

Also surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Charles (Beulah) O'Leary, Mrs. Wendall 
(Donna) Morse, both of Marshall, Mrs. David (Arlene Marie) Delano of Battle 
Creek and Mrs. Don (Lou Anne) Brewer of Tekonsha; two sons, Charles L. "Larry" 
Snyder of East Lansing and Jerry Snyder of Union City; 16 grandchildren and 22 
great grandchildren; and two sisters, Lula Trebian of Belding and Pearl Smith 
of Burton.

He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Henry Snyder, in 1937 and a sister, 
Annie.

Funeral services will be 1 pm Monday (today) at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral 
Home, 103 East Mansion Street, Marshall, with the Rev. Mark Milioni 
officiating.  Burial will be in Orleans Cemetery at 5 pm today.

Memorials have been established for the Michigan FFA Foundation/Charles Snyder 
Scholarship Fund, in care of the funeral home.
