Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard - Mon. March 1, 1976

BELDING- Alvah G. Snyder, 86, of 610 Crawford, Belding, died Friday at St. 
Mary’s hospital in Grand Rapids.

Born in Pittsford July 15, 1889, he had lived in Belding since 1924 coming 
there from Evart.

He was a retired Gibson Refrigerator Company employee and World War I veteran 
serving with the army motor transport division overseas.

His wife the former Bertha L. McDonald, died in 1973.

Among his survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Wanda Corey of Livonia; son, Wayne B. 
Snyder of Belding; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Mrs. 
Lena Williams of Evart.

Services were conducted Monday at 1:30 pm at the Charles M. Courser funeral 
home at Belding. Rev. Eugene Lewis will officiate and interment will be at the 
Rest Haven Memorial Gardens cemetery in Ionia county.
