Ionia Standard, 23 Dec 1910

The funeral service for Joseph B. Snyder was held at the home on Jones street on
Monday afternoon, Rev. M.M. Callen officiating.  The singing was by Mrs. Grace
Creasy and Mrs. G.M. Phelps.  Mr. Snyder was a member of the Wm. H. Borden post,
G.A.R., and the post in the number of twenty attended in a body, under command
of J.L. Fowle.  The bearers, under direction of N.L. Brookins, officer of the
day, were: Edward Bensinger, Edward Shattuck, Henry Myers, A.J. Clark, James
Greenman, and W.W. Crane.  Mr. Snyder served two years, to the end of the war,
in the 6th Ohio infantry.  Interment was in Highland Park cemetery.
