Clair J. Snyder, 81, of Reed City, passed away Monday, November 28, 2005 at 
Spectrum Health Reed City Campus after a long illness.  Clair was born July 18, 
1924 in Belding, the son of Benjamin and Millicent Rabbage Snyder of Lowell.  
He was married November 26, 1947 at Ashley Baptist Church to Kathleen Jane 
Slayton.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; their children, Anne and Pete MacKenzie 
of Kent, Wash., Steven Snyder of Hernando, Fla., Mike Snyder of Springfield, 
Ill., Daniel Snyder of Chase, Debra and Brian Crafts of Benson, Ariz., Nancy 
and Claude Ward of Chase; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

In keeping with Clair’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  Memorial services 
are 11 a.m. Friday at St. Andrew Episcopal Church, 323 S. State St. Big Rapids, 
with Pastor Pamela Miller officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in 
Ashley Cemetery, Belding.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family of 
Clair Snyder to be donated to the Reed City Senior Center.  Services were 
entrusted to Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral home, 203 Pleasant St., Belding.
