Feb. 6, 1930 HUSBAND AND FATHER PASSED AWAY JAN. 28 OBITUARY Samuel F. Snyder was born in Indiana, June 9, 1869. In the year of 1872 he with his parents came to Michigan, Berlin township, residing on a farm two miles north of lake Odessa, Here he worked with his father. A few years later he took up the carpenter trade. In 1890 he was married to Laura Sickles. to this union was born one daughter Gladys. On April 6, 1894 God called his dear companion home to dwell with Him. In the year of 1898 he was united in marriage to Harriett I. VanHouten. To this union were born two daughters, Thelma and Beatrice. On the 28th day of January, 1930, at the age of 60 years, 7 mos., 9 days, he passed away at the home of his daughter in Grand Rapids, Mich. He leaves to mourn their loss, a wife, and three daughters Mrs. Charles Cook of Sebewa, Mrs. Clyde Moore and Mrs. Segurd Silvertsen, both of Grand Rapids, also 11 grandchildren and five brothers William of Blanchard, Milo of Milwaukee, Marion of Grand Rapids, Nelson of Grand Rapids and Ervin of Chicago; three sisters Matilda Smith of Chicago, Mary Coville of Millbrook, Nettie Morgan of Paris,Mich., and many other relatives and a host of friends. Sleep on dear father, Though we miss you, God has called you home. Just why we do not know, although the time is close at hand when we too will understand.
