MRS. MARY C. SNYDER DIES OF SHORT ILLNESS
Sister of Charles Tew of this place Funeral Sunday, Burial at Lakeside.

Mrs. Mary Caswell Snyder, 48, years of age, died at her home five miles south of 
Ionia at 7  o'clock Friday night after an illness of two days.

She was born at Tremayne's corners in 1889, a daughter of Mr.and Mrs. Charles 
E.Tew, Sr. and in 1894, when the E.C.Tew & Sons established their general store 
in this village, she with her parents came to Lake Odessa, where she attended 
school.

In 1907 she was married to Orr Caswell and to this union one son Dennard was 
born. In 1927 they moved from Lake Odessa to their farm in Orange township where 
Orr died August 7, 1928. Three years ago she married William Snyder.

Survivors are her husband, William; one son, Dennard Caswell of Ionia; and one 
brother, Charles Tew Jr., of Lake Odessa.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the farm home, and 
burial was at Lakeside cemetery at Lake Odessa.
