Snyder of Paxico, Kansas arrived in Lake Odessa last Friday morning July 10 and conveyed to the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Solomon Snyder, one mile north of town by Undertaker Weed. The remains were accompanied by his wife and little daughter Lucile, and brothers and sister of Chicago, Mr and Mrs. C.O. Smith and Ervin Snyder. The funeral was held at his father's residence Saturday at 11 a.m.. Rev. A.T. Luther giving one of his splendid talks so helpful on such occasions, and the Methodist choir gave some very appropriate hymns. Joseph E. Snyder was born in Elkhart Indiana Dec. 14, 1866 and died in Paxico, Kansas July 7, 1908. When a boy he came with his parents to Michigan settling in Odessa township where he grew to manhood. On leaving home twenty years ago he went to Kansas and was married at Paxico in 1895, where he lived until his death. He leaves his wife and one daughter Lucile about 11 yrs. old, his father and mother, seven brothers and three sisters. Those from away to attend the funeral aside from those mentioned above were, Mr and Mrs Will Snyder and Mrs Judd Morgan of Blanchard, Mrs Mary Lapham of Edmore, Mr and Mrs Hallie Lapham of Greenville and Mr and Mrs Marion Snyder, Mr and Mrs James Snyder and Samuel Snyder of Grand Rapids.
