April 18, 1992 CHARLES P. SNYDER IONIA-Charles P. Snyder, 59, of Ionia died April 16 at Ionia County Memorial Hospital. Born April 1, 1933, in Charlotte, he was the son of Wavel and Lucile Graham Snyder. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Illinois Tool Works after 23 years of service. He also worked as a groundskeeper for three years at American Bumper and Manufacturing CO. Surviving are his wife, Diana; two sons, Michael of Mesa,Ariz., and Ronald of St.Charles, Ill.; two daughters, Diana Lopez of Houston, Texas and Cheryl Glantz of Las Vegas, Nev.; five grandchildren; seven brothers, Jack of Arcadia,Fla., Ralph of Fremont, Ind., Carl of Lyons, John of Ionia, Alan of Troy, Ohio, Thomas of Ionia, and William of Sunfield; and three sisters, Edna Falor of Fowler, Betty Rowley of Ionia and Delores Brunk of Carson City. He was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Ann Snyder in 1947. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday at Cook Funeral Home, Ionia with the Rev.Scott Otis officiating. Pallbearers will be Ralph, Carl, John, Alan, Thomas and William Snyder. The family will be at the funeral home from 1 p.m to service time. A Memorial for Ionia County Memorial Hospital's Cardiac Care Unit (CCU)has been established, in care of the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset memorial Gardens.
