A Pioneer Gone.
John G. Snyder Joins the Innumerable Throng on the Other side.

John G. Snyder, for nearly sixty years a resident of this city and vicinity died
at the home of his grand daughter, Mrs. Guy Herrington, near Ionia Wednesday. 
His remains will be brought to this city tonight and the funeral held at the
home of his grand daughter, Mrs. W.R. Menkee tomorrow at 1 o’clock, Rev. Sheehan
officiating and interment will be at Otisco beside his wife and two sons who
have long since preceeded him.  

Mr. Snyder was born in Pittstown, Rensaler county, New York, in 1813 and had
reached the ripe old age of 91 years and 5 months.  During his life Mr. Snyder
held many important offices at the hands of his friends.  One by one the
veterans of days gone by are being gathered home.
