Lois t. Solomon, aged 81, of Saranac, passed away Sept. 30, 2009.

She was born Dec. 26, 1927, the daughter of James and Marion (Klingensmith) 
Grummet. She married Larry Solomon July 27, 1946. He preceded her in death May 
9, 1988. Lois was a member of Easton United Methodist Church and a volunteer 
for the Commission on Aging at the church. She was also a member the American 
Legion of Saranac, Ionia Moose and Women of the Ionia Moose Club.

Lois is survived by her sons Stuart (Kris) Solomon of Holland and Steven 
(Nancy) Solomon of Lowell; daughter Suzanne (John) VanSlambrouck of 
Hudsonville; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother Don (Shirley) 
Grummet of Saranac and sisters Thelma Rowley of Saranac, Alice Courter of 
Saranac and Donna Battle of Saranac. 

She was preceded in death by 1 sister Leora Erb.

Memorial services will be held 11 a.m., Monday at Easton United Methodist 
Church with Pastor Nancy Patera officiating. The family will receive friends 
and relatives 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Lake Funeral Home in Saranac. In lieu of 
flowers you may make memorial contributions to Hospice of Ionia or if you wish
