She was born on September 16, 1963 un Winterhaven, Florida, the daughter of Bill and Ruth (King) Johnston. Saundra was a graduate of Carson City High School, Class of 1981. She married James Solomonson on June 13, 1981 in Belding. She joined the United States Air Force serving from 1981-1985. She resided in Ionia county after the service. Saundra loved to read, holiday dinners and family reunions. She especially loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. Surviving Saundra is her loving husband of 40 years, James Solomonson of Ionia; daughters, Alisha (Andy) Galloway of Sunfield and Stephanie (Justin) Bovee of Potterville; step-son, Victor Ledesma of Ionia; mother, RuthJohnston of Vickerville; grandchildren,Jonah, Bella, Dalton, Perry, Wesley and Myla; brothers, Kevin (Venus) Johnston of Vickeryville and Keith (Melissa) Johnston of Matherton: brother and sister-in-laws,Larry Dickinson of Gilbralter,Dave and Cindy Solomonson of Riverdale, Steve Solomonson of Six Lakes, Don and Bonnie Solomonson of Grand Rapids, Donna Solomonson of Mt.Pleasant and Linda and Roger St. Antoine of California. She was preceded in death by her father Bill, mother and father-in-law Clifford and Doris Solomonson; brother-in-law Thomas Solomonson and sister-in-law Marilyn Dickinson. Funeral services will be held at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia on Saturday, December 18th, 11:00 AM with Pastor Craig Redding officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
