SOMERS, MARY A. (McQUILLAN) (MRS. CHARLES):
DAILY SENTINEL-STANDARD, IONIA, MICH.--FRIDAY, JAN. 16, 1942:  "Deaths - MRS.
MARY A. SOMERS - Mrs. Mary A. Somers, 87, died Friday, January 16, at 1 a.m. at
the home of her nephew, Leon A. McQuillan, West Washington street.  She had been
in ill health for the past eight weeks following a fall on November 20 at which
time she broke her hip.
   Born in Lyons township, June 21, 1854, she was the daughter of Bernard and
Catherine McQuillan.  She had lived her entire life in the vicinity of Ionia. 
Her husband, Charles Somers, and three children, preceded her in death.
   Surviving are three sons, Arthur and William of Alberta, Canada, and Bernard
of Flint; one daughter, Mrs. Mae Croel of Lyons township and several
grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
   Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Stone funeral
home.  Dr. Paul L. Stewart will officiate and interment will be at Tuttle
cemetery."

   Per DAILY SENTINEL-STANDARD, IONIA, MICH., MONDAY, JAN. 19, 1942, page 3:
"Deaths - MRS. MARY SOMERS - Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Somers were
conducted from the Stone funeral home Sunday at 2:30 p.m.  Dr. Paul L. Stewart
conducted the service and interment was at the Tuttle cemetery.
   Bearers were Leon McQuillan, Roy Sipher, Charles Croel and Davis Somers.
   Attending the service from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Somers, Davis
and Hubert Somers, of Flint, and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Benhagel and Mr. and Mrs.
Harold Thease of Benton Harbor."
