Excerpts from Portland Obituary

Cynthia Louise (Shultz) Sonday
Died January 1, 2022-age 63 of Portland, MI.
From a twelve year battle with Cancer.
Born October 10, 1958 in Lansing, MI.
Daughter of Warren & Dora Shultz.
Graduated from Portland High School , class of 21977.
Cindy worked as a professional cosmetologist, followed as a Corrections officer 
at the Correctional Facility for over ten years.
Cindy was involved with the Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW, enjoyed performing 
weddings and unions as an ordained minister, providing relief to many as a Reiki 
master, teaching and sharing her knowledge of essential oils. 
Preceded in death by grandparents, Clarence & Noran Rogers & her father, Warren 
Shultz.
She is survived by her sons, Jefferey (Lisa) Sonday and Timothy Sonday; her 
sisters, Jan (Craig) Calvert, Patricia (Rex) Hackett, and Sandra (Monnie) Dunn; 
mother, Dora Shultz; grandchildren, Evan, Kylie, Lydia and Conner Sonday.
Cindy's family wish to extend sincere thanks to their friend's family, Betty 
Leyrer & all that were involved in caring for Cindy.
Donations may be made to The American Cancer Society or McLaren Hospice in 
Cindy's memory.
