Ionia Sentinel Standard-Monday July 17, 1978

                         RUTH SONIER

IONIA-Ruth Sonier, 84, of Cadillac, formerly of Ionia, died Sunday morning at 
Mercy Hospital in Cadillac.

She was born April 27, 1894 in Montcalm County, the daughter of Mr and Mrs 
Charles Aungst.

She married Charles Sonier in Montcalm county March 5, 1930. He preceded her in 
death in February 1955. One son, Harold, preceded her in death in 1938.

Mrs.Sonier was employed at the Ionia Desk Company and Hayes Manufacturing. She 
lived in Ionia until three years ago when she moved to Cadillac.

Survivors include one son, Ira (Pat) Goodenough of Sheridan; three daughters, 
Mrs.LaVerne (Marguerite) Nordman of Grand Rapids, Mrs James (June) Osborne of 
Ionia and Mrs.Rudy (Mary) Tupis of Cadillac; one sister, Mrs.Fern Lippert of 
Lansing, 18 grandchildren and 1 1great-grandchildren.

Services are Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from Myers-Roetman Funeral Home with burial 
in Balcom Cemetery.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home Monday 7 to 9 
p.m. and Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
