The Portland Review, June 15, 1950

John Soughders, for over a half-century a Portland resident, died at his home 
on Broad street, west side, early Wednesday morning.  Mr. Soughders was 86 
years old.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Bandfield Chapel, and 
burial will be in Portland cemetery.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Zoa Soughders Proctor, and two grandsons, of 
Portland, and a sister, Mrs. Wm. Russell, of Saranac.
