Belding News, 1 May 1903

Smyrna – Mrs. Angelique Sousa, who for many months has been a weary sufferer 
and for several weeks entirely helpless, died Wednesday morning, April 29, at 
the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gray.  In the eighty-fourth year of her age a 
long life full of hard but useful work has ceased.  The funeral services were 
held at the Baptist church Thursday at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, Rev. C.M. 
Loomis of the M.E. church officiating.

[Transcriber's Note: There is a notation on the obituary card that she was 
buried in Smyrna Cemetery.]
