Barbara Marie Sowers, 82, of Belding, entered the grace of our Lord on Monday,
March 22, 2010, at Spectrum Health United Memorial Hospital in Greenville. 
Barbara was born May 13, 1927, in Sparta, the daughter of LaRoy and Jenny
Housman Christensen.  She just loved gardening, being outdoors, yard work,
crocheting and crafting.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bud “Frank” Sowers; and
one daughter, Alex.  Barbara is survived by her children, Kirk and Mary Sowers
of Florida, Pam and Roger Bailes of Georgia; her sisters and brother, Margie
Crystler of Belding, Kathryn Kilvington and Gene Riker, both of Michigan, Ted
Christensen of Indiana; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and -nephews.

Funeral services are 4 p.m. today at the Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home,
Belding, with Father Fred Brucker officiating.  Interment will follow in St.
Joseph Cemetery.  Visitation is one hour before the service, from 3 to 4 p.m. 
Memorials may be given to Metron of Greenville - Activities Fund.
