The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, April 1, 1942

Funeral services were held Sunday in Belding for Mrs. Esther Sparks, 28, wife 
of Alden Sparks, who died in the Ionia Community hospital after a short 
illness. 

Mrs. Sparks was born in Keene, October 5, 1914 and made her home with Mr. and 
Mrs. George Crawford of Belding as a child.  She graduated from the Belding 
schools in 1931 and was married February 18, 1938.

Surviving are the husband, two small children, Robert and Gayla, and three 
brothers, Lloyd, Boyd and Delbert Monroe of Detroit.

Services were conducted by Rev. William Blanding of Central Methodist church, 
and burial was at Marble cemetery in Keene.
