Last week Thursday, Danforth Sparks fell dead while digging potatoes on the farm
of Gilbert Ayers in Keene.  He was nearly eighty years old and was living with
Mr. Ayers, who is his son-in-law.  He came to Keene about 1840 and was
intimately interested in the early history of that township.
