Greenville Daily News - Tuesday, Feb. 27, 1979

SARANAC- Floyd B. Sparks, 88, Higgins Rd., Saranac, died Monday evening at 
Cherry Creek Nursing Home, Lowell.

Mr. Sparks was born Feb. 6, 1891, in Keene Township on the homestead of his 
grandfather who received the land from the government in 1837, the son of 
Robert and Harriet Wilkinson Sparks. He had been a Mason since 1917.

Surviving are his wife, the former Wilma Hull, whom he married Oct. 24, 1910, 
in Grand Rapids; a daughter, Mrs. Ernest (Evelyn) Geiger, Belding; two sons, 
Alden and Stephen, both of Saranac; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Roetman-Lake Funeral Home, Saranac, 
the Rev. James Frank officiating. Interment will be in marble Cemetery.

The family will receive friends and relatives Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 
8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
