Lyons Herald, 9 Nov 1911

Elizabeth Watson was born at Providence N.Y., May 12, 1824 and died at the old 
farm home in Lyons township Nov. 1, 1911.  She was married to Day Spaulding at 
Mayfield, N.Y., Feb. 15, 1849.  Three sons were born to them; the younger son, 
Perry, died in Cal. some years ago, and the father passed away on July 7, 
1898.  Mrs. Spaulding has been a resident of this county for many years and 
seen the county develop from a wilderness to its present state.  She was a 
woman of sterling qualities and was loved and respected by all who knew her.  
She leaves to  mourn her loss two sons, Henry O. and John F., with their 
families, and many other friends.

Funeral services were held at the home of John F. Spaulding Friday, Nov. 3, 
Rev. Wm. Judd of Lyons officiating.
