Belding Banner-News, 20 Oct 1960

Jerry Spaulding, 85, passed away at his home on Palmer Road on Wednesday of last
week.  He was born December 15, 1874 on the farm where he had always lived, the
son of Montgomery and Adelia Spaulding.

He was a member of Goodfellowship Club; one of the directors of Ionia County
Farm Mutual Insurance Co.; Orleans Township treasurer; and officer in the Triple
A Farm Agricultural Adjustment program; a life member of Belding Lodge No. 355,
F.&A.M. and a member of the Maccabees.

He was married in Ionia May 2, to Anna McGuire who survives.  Other survivors
are one son, Roy, two grand children and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services were lend on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Huffman Funeral Home, Rev.
H. S. Ellis officiating and burial was in Orleans cemetery.  Pall Bearers were
Leo Leiter, Richard Bird, Albin Johnson, Glen Wortley, Harry Johnson and Ernest
Leach.
