All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/mi/mifiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Marilyn Ransom mlnransom@chartermi.net May 28, 2010, 6:39 pm The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, October 25, 1927 The death of Mrs. Jessie LeValley, living north of Ionia, occurred Tuesday morning at 6 o’clock, following a brief illness, which was not termed critical until Sunday morning, and her sister, Mrs. Nell Spaulding of Perinton, passed away Monday morning. Mrs. LeValley and Mrs. Spaulding were daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Hayden of Muir and were reared in that vicinity. The former was 75 years of age and the latter 72. Mrs. LeValley had always lived in the county but Mrs. Spaulding had been a resident of Perinton many years. The only surviving member of the family of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Heyden is a brother of the women, Jay Hayden of Carson City. Surviving Mrs. LeValley are three children, Mrs. Louis Ashe, with whom she lived; Mrs. Vern Butler of Cedar Springs, and Fred. LeValley of Detroit. Mr. LeValley died three years ago. Mrs. Spaulding left no children. The ancestors of Mrs. LeValley and Mrs. Spaulding were named Coolidge and traceable to the lineage of President Coolidge. The funeral services for Mrs. Spaulding will be held in Perinton Wednesday, and the funeral services for Mrs. LeValley will be held from the home on State road Thursday at 2 o’clock. The burial will be in the Balcom cemetery.
