She has been ill for the past three years. She was born March 22, 1878, in Montcalm county. They lived in Ionia about 20 years, 15 years of that time when Spaulding was connected with the railroad. He operated a cigar store where the Ionia Inn is now located for about five years. While residents of Ionia, they lived in the house on the corner of Hall and West Lincoln avenue which John Krhovsky now owns. They moved from Ionia to Detroit in 1935 and Mr. Spaulding died there Aug. 14, 1947. She was a former member of the German Lutheran church in Greenville and was a member of the Ionia Macabees for many years. Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. William Storch and Mrs. Edith Edwards of Ionia, Mrs. R. C. Smith of Webberville and Mrs. Gus Bartley of Portland and two brothers; Rudy Burns of Grand Rapids and Fred Burns of Greenville. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. at Myers funeral home. Dr. Paul Stewart will officiate. Interment will be in a Greenville cemetery.
