Mr. Speckin lost his wife a short time ago and has been ailing for some months. He leaves seven living children, John, Mrs. R. L. Redemsky, Louis, William, Fred, Mrs. Ed. Schaefer, and Henry. Henry is the only one of the children who lives outside of the city his home being Pittsburg and he is expected. The funeral will be held tomorrow at two o’clock from the Scheurer street residence and from the German Lutheran church on Jefferson Street at two thirty. The bearers will be the sons, John, William, Fred, and Henry. The burial will be in Highland Park. Mr. Speckin was born in 1832 and has been a respected resident of Ionia for many years.
