Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 13 Mar 1958

Fred W. Speckin, 70, former resident of Ionia, died at his home in Grand Rapids
Wednesday afternoon.  He had been ill for some time.  Mr. Speckin was born in
Ionia, May 30, 1887, the son of William and Bertha Speckin.

Surviving besides his wife Anna are one son, William Speckin of Grand Rapids;
one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Herline of Grand Rapids; one sister, Mrs. Alfred
Vermilyea of Lansing; and a brother, Clarence Speckin of Ionia.

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Yonkoff funeral chapel in
Grand Rapids.
