She had been ill for some time. Born Elizabeth Miller, May 15, 1874, to Mr. and Mrs. John Miller of Mill street, Ionia, she lived the most of her life in Ionia. She attended Ionia schools and was a member of an Ionia Lutheran church. On August 23, 1900, she married Fred Speckin, also of Ionia. They made their home on North Jackson street in Ionia until ten years ago when they moved to Saginaw. Mr. Speckin is employed as superintendent of the Pere Marquette paint shop in Saginaw. Surviving are the husband, Fred, a daughter, Ethel, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Martha Grams and Mrs. Herman Smith, of Ionia, and a brother, Fred C. Miller, of Westphalia. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1:30 from the residence in Saginaw and at 2:30 p.m. from St. Paul’s Lutheran church in Ionia. Rev. A.H. Kalmar of Saginaw will conduct both services and interment will be at Highland Park cemetery.
