She was one of a family of eight children, the only survivors now being Lorenzo Lindley of Portland, and Alonzo Lindley, of Seattle, Wash. Her first husband was Israel Green, father of her three children. After his death she married his brother, Oliver. Some time after he passed away she became the wife of Oscar Phillips. Her last husband was Wallace K. Spencer, a Civil war veteran, who died about 10 years ago. On account of his army service she drew a widow’s pension up to the time of her death. With her home broken up Mrs. Spencer had resided with friends in the latter years of her life. At the home of Mr. Higgins, where she died, she had received the same care as would have been accorded a member of his own family. In 1916 Mrs. Spencer, desiring to provide for burial expenses, deposited in the Webber State Savings Bank the sum of $95, with the understanding that it was to be held in trust for that purpose. It was placed in the savings department and with accumulated interest the sum had last week grown to $121.24.
