(Clark) Spencer, 93, of Owosso, formerly of Ionia passed away on March 27, 2011. Services will be announced at a later date. Ida was born on Jan. 21, 1918 to R. Fay Clark and Maude (Lewis) Clark. She graduated from Sheridan High School at age 16 as co-valedictorian of her class. She received her post high school training at Business School in Saginaw. Ida worded for 2nd National Bank in Saginaw and then as a secretary at Welch, Watt, Nichols and McKaig, Lawyers in Ionia for over 22 years. She was affiliated with the First Presbyterian Church in Ionia. Ida was the loving wife of Harold H. Spencer; they married on July 1, 1939. She was an active member of the Order of Eastern Star where she served as treasurer and was twice a Worthy Matron. She enjoyed working in her garden, doing crossword puzzles, and taking family trips. Ida was known for her genuine love for people that she was always welcoming into her home. Ida is survived by her daughter Barbara (James) Greve; sons, Robert W. (Shirley) Spencer, Carol (Mike) Gregory, Ray (Kathy) Gregory; grandchildren, Spencer S. (Jennifer) Greve, Angelique (Anthony) Toporek, Jack H. Spencer, Robert (Diane) Spencer Jr., Sherry (Dan) McKenzie, Andrew Spencer; Shari (Chuck) Kirby and Marci (Andrew); great-grandchildren, Nathan, McKenna, Katherine, Morgan, Anthony, Sasha, Scott and Sarah; two great-great- grandchildren; brothers, Dell Drake, William (Anna) Clark; and many other loving family members and friends. She is predeceased by her husband; son Jack H. Spencer; parents; brother, Erwin Clark; and sisters, Mary Gregory and Olive Clark.
