Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Tues. July 10, 1973

Glen S. Spencer, 78, of 711 Boras street, Belding, died July 9 at United 
Memorial hospital in Greenville, after an illness of three years. Born in 
Montcalm county July 31, 1894, he was a life resident of the area. He was a 
member of Dads Post American Legion. His wife, Avis, died May 12, 1967.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Bernard LaBree of Rodney, Mrs. Winthrop 
Setchfield of Belding; two sons, Gail Spencer of Charlevoix and Richard of 
Belding; one sister, Mrs. Mabel Regan of Belding; six grandchildren, 13 great 
grandchildren.

Funeral services will be July 12 at 1 pm at Charles M. Courter funeral home in 
Belding, Rev. Richard A. Bayles will officiate. Burial will be in River Ridge 
cemetery, Belding.

Visitation hours are Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 8:30 pm.
