Ionia Sentinel Standard, 17 Aug 1964

Leonard Spencer, 62, died Sunday night at his home at 210 Hambrook street,
Belding.  Coroner Dale Kauffman who investigated with Sheriff Peter Van Vleck,
said death was due to a heart attack.  Mr. Spencer was born in Sterling,
September 13, 1901 and had lived in Belding the past 25 years.  He was employed
at Gibson refrigerator.

May 28, 1946, he was married to Helen Taylor who survives.  Also a sister, Mrs.
Dora Clark of Vassar; three brothers Joseph Spencer of Belding, Arley of
Phessalon, Ont., and Sigmund of Wayland; and a half-brother, Judson Cummings of
St. Louis.

Funeral service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Huffman funeral home.  The Elder
Barian Bowman of Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints of
Greenville will officiate and burial will be at River Ridge cemetery.
