The funeral service of Wm. E. Spencer were held at the rooms of the family in
the Webster block, Tuesday afternoon, Rev. B.V. Child officiating.  The deceased
has been a severe sufferer for several months, having been taken sick last May.
 He was born in Livingston county, N.Y., April 6th, 1854, and at the age of six
years removed with his parents to Smyrna, Mich.  In April, 1872, he married Miss
Lucy Campbell, and four children were born to them all of whom are living.  I.N.
Just and wife and the deceased’s mother, Mrs. A.M. Spencer of South Lyon, Harry
Spencer and wife and Geo. Spencer of Ionia, and Mrs. Chas. H. Spencer of
Minneapolis, were the out of town relatives present at the funeral.
