Ionia Sentinel Standard, 1 May 1965

Harold W. Spencer, 66, a resident of Flint since 1918 and owner and manager of
the Spencer Printing Company of Flint, died Friday at 2:13 a.m. at Hurley
hospital, Flint, after an extended illness.  He lived at 3216 Hawthorne Drive,
Flint.

Mr. Spencer was born in Ionia, December 29, 1898, the son of Harry E. and Bessie
Spencer.  His father was associated with the Ionia Daily Sentinel for many years
as business manager.

In 1918 Mr. Spencer moved with his parents to Flint where they established the
printing firm.

[Transcriber’s note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that he was
buried in Highland Park Cemetery.]
