Funeral Rites Held For Local Woman
Funeral services for Mrs. John Spencer age 68, were conducted on Sunday 
afternoon at the Fitzjohn funeral home. Mrs. Spencer died early Friday morning 
at her home on Jay Street and although she had not been well, her death was 
unexpected at this time. She was born in Montcalm County.
Surviving are the husband and two step-children, Glen Spencer of this city and 
Mrs. Herbert Riggen of Orleans township; a brother, Albert Hill, of Ionia; and 
a sister, Mrs. Joseph Ottenwess of Stanton. Rev. W. F. Lane of the Church of 
God officiated at the funeral and interment was in Orleans Cemetery.
