The Ionia Standard, Friday, March 15, 1895
Erastus Spencer died on Tuesday, and his funeral will be held today, from his 
late residence.  Mr. Spencer was one of the pioneers of Saranac, and was for a 
number of years associated with his son, the late F. H. Spencer, in the drug 
and grocery business.  For the past ten years he has been very feeble both in 
mind and body.
