Helen E. Spicer, aged 87, of Pewamo and formerly of Lyons passed away Dec. 25, 
2008 in Lansing.

She was born April 23, 1921 the daughter of Clayton and Bertha (Hadden) 
Dungerow. She married Theron Spicer, July 16, 1938. Helen loved nature, 
especially feeding and watching the birds.

She is survived by her sons Thomas (Julie) Spicer of Antioch, Calif., Theron 
Jack (Barb) Spicer of Lyons and Glen Spicer of Dade City, Fla.; daughters 
Sharon Neill of Shelby Twp., Diana (Dean) Martin of Crystal and Susanne Smith 
of Pewamo; daughter-in-law, Hazel Spicer of California; 1 sister, Norma (Larry) 
Hoffman of Flushing and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-
great-grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded by her loving husband of 57 years, Theron; her parents; 1 son, 
Kenneth; 2 grandsons, Kenneth and Todd Spicer and 2 sons-in-law, Robert Neill 
Jr. and Delbert Smith.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 30 at 1 p.m. at the Lake Funeral 
Home in Muir with Pastor Greg Gladding officiating. Interment Lyons Cemetery. 
Visitation will be on Sunday 4-8 p.m. and Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Lake 
Funeral Home in Muir. Those wishing may make contributions to the charity of
