The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, April 23, 1965
Albert B. Spidle, 96, former Ionia barber over 50 years, died at 9 o’clock 
Thursday night at the Masonic Home in Alma.  He had resided there the past 11 
years.  A life member of Ionia Elks lodge, he was the last charter member.  He 
was also a member of F&AM lodge of Ionia.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Richard Kennedy of Minneapolis, Minn.; six 
grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  Preceding him in death were his 
wife, Minnie who died in 1934; and two sons, Dr. Charles Spidle who died 
several years ago and Dr. Robert Spidle, about a month ago.

Funeral service  will be at Boynton funeral home Saturday at 2 p.m. with the 
Rev. Lester C. Bailey of First Methodist church officiating.  Interment will 
be at Highland Park cemetery.
