Daily Sentinel-Standard - Monday, Sept. 8, 1958

LAKE ODESSA- Gotthold Paul Julius Spiegel, 73, of route one, Woodland, died 
unexpectedly at his home about 7 a.m. Sunday, although he had been in ill 
health for the past three years.

He was born in Gosslar, Germany, October 15, 1884, the son of Julius and Emilie 
Spiegel, and came to the Woodland area 10 years ago.

Surviving are his wife, Frieda; three daughters, Mrs. Rudy (Anne Marie) Othmer 
of Woodland, Mrs. Ruth Hahn and Mrs. Hildegarde Boelter, both of Germany; one 
brother, Paul, also of Germany, and eight grandchildren.

The body is at the Pickens funeral chapel in Lake Odessa. Funeral services will 
be held at the Woodland funeral chapel Tuesday at 4 p.m., with burial at 
Woodland Memorial cemetery. The Rev. Martin Kriger will officiate.
