Lake Odessa Wave-Friday February 23, 1912
                                OBITUARY
Mr.Henry Spigelmeyer was born in Mifflin county, Pa., March 1848 and died at his 
home near Lake Odessa, Feb. 12, 1912. Exact date of birth is not known, but 
would have been 64 years old in March.  He came from Penn. to this state 34 
years ago. He was next to the oldest of a family consisting of ten children. He 
leaves a sorrowing wife, one daughter and five grandchildren, all of whom have 
the sympathy of the entire community in their sad affliction. The end came very 
suddenly and unexpectedly, but we believe found him prepared to meet his God, 
with joy and not with fear.

He was a kind husband and father, of a cheerful disposition, and always willing 
to do what he could for the benefit of others. Words fail to express our 
appreciation of the kindness manifested by the community in our sore affliction. 
May the dear Lord bless them abundantly.
