CATHERINE A. SPITZLEY of Lansing.
Died Saturday, February 10, 2019, age 89.
Born in Pewamo, MI on June 20, 1929 to Myron & Estella (Miller) Schafer.
Beloved wife of 55 for years to the late Matt Spitzley.
Together they enjoyed their cottage, traveling, Dancing, playing cards & 
being with friends and family.
Catherine enjoyed baking, reading, Tiger baseball, and MSU basketball, trips 
with her sisters and cousins.
Survived by her 10 children, 24 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, & 3 
great-great-grandchildren, 3 sisters, in-law, many nieces & nephews.
Preceded in death by husband, parents, sister & brother, in-laws, brothers- 
in-law and son-in-law.
Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, February 14, 2019, at St. Gerard Catholic 
church at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Fr. John Klein as celebrant.
Visitation Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Palmer, Bush & Jensen Family 
Funeral Home, Delta Chapel 2-4 & 6-8 p.m with rosary at 7 p.m.
Contributions can be made to St. Vincent Children's Home or the St. Gerard 
Youth Ministry Fund in memory of Catherine.
