Ionia Sentinel Standard, 30 Aug 2000

Elizabeth Sprague, 85, of the Ionia area, passed away on Aug. 29, 2000.

She was born on June 15, 1915, in Ionia, the daughter of William and Edith 
(Patterson) Hecht.  She went on to marry Lyle Sprague in 1944 in Ionia.  She 
was a member of Lyons-Muir Church and attended the Ionia Schools.

She is survived by her son, Doug (Norma) Sprague of Fenwick; daughter, Audrey 
(Gary) Gallagher of Douglasville, Ga.; brother, William (Evelyn) Hecht of 
Saranac; sister, Ethel Hecht of Ionia; grandchildren, Brian (Sue) Hogan, Lynne 
Morris, Brad (Brandy) Hogan, Garry Gallagher Jr., Peter Gallagher, and Philip 
Gallagher; and eight great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her 
husband Lyle in 1983, and four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sprague will be held at 1 p.m., Friday at the Lake 
Funeral Home in Ionia with Rev. Judy Dowling officiating.  Interment at Sunset 
Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., 
Thursday at the funeral home.   Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions 
to Lyons-Muir Church Building Fund.
