Ionia County News, 26 Oct 1939

Cornel E. Sprague, of Mulliken died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Effie 
Fishell on Grant street, Tuesday evening.  He was born in Branch county, 
Michigan in 1863.  In 1885 he was married to Miss Nona McCausey and moved to 
Danby township where he has since resided.  One daughter, Mrs. Ralph Felton, 
died in 1920.

He leaves two sisters, Mrs. Effie Fishell and Mrs. William Brown, two brothers, 
A.D. Sprague of Salt Lake City, Utah and Otto Sprague of Haslett, Michigan; 
three granddaughters of Lansing and two nieces, Miss Gertrude Fishell and Mrs. 
Forest Townsend of Portland.

There will be a prayer service at the Fishell home at two o’clock Friday 
afternoon and rites at the Methodist church at Mulliken.  The Rev. Lewis 
Rigleman of the Portland Methodist church will assist the Mulliken pastor and 
burial will take place in the Mulliken cemetery.
