Sentinel-Std. - Tuesday, June 13, 1978

IONIA- Gail H. Sprague, 92, of Sidney, Ohio, formerly of Ionia, died Monday 
morning in Sidney, Ohio.

He was born in Berlin township, January 29, 1885, the son of Henry and Emmaline 
Benedict Sprague and lived in Berlin township most of his life, selling the 
family farm in the 1940's.

He married the former Rosa Lafferty in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1953 and they made 
their home in Fort Wayne and Ohio. She preceded him in death October 19, 1977.

Survivors include nephews, Clinton, Howard, Russell and Wayne Sprague of Ionia; 
Ivan of Lansing and Francis of Houghton Lake.

Services are Wednesday at 2 pm from the Leddick funeral home with Rev. Ronald 
Dow of First Christian church officiating.

Burial is in Balcom cemetery.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home Tuesday 7 to 9 
pm.
